Glutensiz Tatil was set up so that gluten-free guests in Turkey can choose hotels based on audits rather than guesswork.
Why we exist
Turkey is one of the world's biggest holiday destinations, welcoming millions of visitors every year. A significant share of them have coeliac disease or are sensitive to gluten. Today, the only sources these guests can rely on when choosing a hotel are the hotels' own claims and reviews scattered across forums.
We set out to fill this gap: a public standard, on-site and unannounced audits, verifiable certificates and a guide kept up to date by guest reports.
Our principles
- Transparency: Our audit standard is published in full. Suspended certificates are not hidden.
- Independence: Audit results cannot be bought. The fee does not depend on the outcome, and we never provide both consultancy and auditing to the same hotel in the same year.
- Guests first: Guest reports directly shape our audit plan.
- Honesty: We say clearly that no kitchen is risk-free.
Our advisory board is being formed with gastroenterologists, dietitians and representatives of coeliac associations. Members will be named here once confirmed.
